Create new product concepts through understanding European's values and behaviours around beard maintenance

Approach
Conducted F2F interviews and tested the clients’ initial concepts with 9 participants with various beard types in central London, as well as 3 expert interviews including barber visits where they performed expert beard reshaping demonstrations. I facilitated a one-day concept workshop for the client’s team to review the research result and to come up with ideas to improve the concepts.

Outcome
2 people from the client team attended the research on-site in London and 12 people including designers, product planners and engineers joined the one-day workshop. Based on the research insights, we defined some key ideas and technologies and the concepts are currently being developed.
